Watertown High School held a Pep Assembly Friday morning to honor Flight Feather recipients, to recognize winter season athletes who competed at State, to celebrate attendance milestones and more.
WHS's Flight Feather program provides staff and students with the opportunity to recognize other staff and students for going out of their way to do the right thing or by completing an act of kindness for someone else. So far, 637 Flight Feathers have been submitted this school year for a drawing. Students whose names were drawn included Carson Lindeman, Karter Zimmerman, Nohra Good, Gillian Mihalko, Sophia Tolfa and Sophia Gonzales. Staff winners were Kelley Piasecki and Eric Kleine.
Another special recognition that occurred Friday was the send-off of the Special Olympics Basketball Team - Galaxy - featuring WHS student Alex Wuestenberg and other WHS alumni. The team played at the State games in Oshkosh this past weekend. Go Goslings!

Students in Mr. Blair Thorpe's Financial Literacy class are in the process of learning about investing. Earlier this week, the students had the unique opportunity to learn first-hand knowledge of investing and local investing opportunities from Whitney Townsend, director of Business and Community Development at FCCU (Fort Community Credit Union). Thank you to Whitney for sharing her time and expertise with our students!
