The WHS Chapter of the National German Honor Society hosted the first Stammtisch of the school year on Friday, December 8th at Two Sisters Cafe. Students were joined by special guest Frau Hazel Neitzel, who grew up speaking German! German-speaking community members are always welcome at Stammtisch--follow "German at WHS" on Facebook to stay abreast of upcoming events.

WHS senior students are recognized for their academic achievements, participation in athletics, school organizations, and the contribution to the Watertown Community. Students will join the Watertown Rotary Club each Monday at their weekly meetings and luncheons. Claire Jaeckel is the daughter of Jason Jaeckel and Michelle Vette Jaeckel. Claire has been involved in the WHS FCCLA (Family, Careers, Community Leaders of America) holding the position of President this year and is also involved in the National Honor Society Outside of WHS, Claire has been a member of the Lebanon Luckies 4-H Club holding many different positions. Claire also volunteers at the Personal Essentials Pantry. Claire currently works at Two Sisters Cafe and plans on attending Winona State University for Elementary Education. Catherine Kaczmarek is the daughter of Carrie and Curt Kaczmarek. Catherine has been involved in the following during her four years at WHS: Girls Swimming, Girls Soccer, National Honor Society, FFA, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Show Choir and Carolers. Catherine volunteers her time being a member on her church’s meal committee. Catherine has also worked as a lifeguard and is currently working at KD Sport Horses. She plans on attending a four year university in Texas to study Rangeland and Wildlife Management. Robert Stewart is the son of Allen and Michelle Stewart. Robert has been active in the following at WHS: Student Council (currently President), Tri-M Music Honor Society, German Honor Society, Art Honor Society, SkillsUSA, Show Choir, Carolers, and WHS Musicals. Robert currently is working at Slumberland and plans on attending UW-Stevens Point or UW-Milwaukee to pursue a degree in Musical Theater.

Webster Elementary School held Cool, Awesome and Terrific Students (CATS) lunch on Friday, November 17. Each month Brad Clark, Webster principal, eats lunch with a group of Cool, Awesome and Terrific Students. These students are picked by teachers in grades 5K-5 for making great gains in an academic area or working super hard.
