Registration for the WUSD Summer School program is now open through Friday, May 2. There is no cost for students to attend Summer School and lunch is free. Webster Elementary School held its Cool, Awesome and Terrific Students (CATS) lunch on Friday, April 11. Each month, Webster Principal Brad Clark eats lunch with a group of Cool, Awesome and Terrific Students. These students are selected by teachers in grades 5K-5 for making great gains in an academic area or by working super hard.

Riverside Middle School 6th and 7th graders recently had fun playing trench ball during gym class led by Ms. Grotenhuis, Ms. Moulton and Mr. de Galley.


The WUSD fourth and fifth grade show choir, Pizzazz, had the incredible opportunity to sing and dance with the Watertown High School Show Choir on Friday as the high schoolers performed at our middle school and elementary schools. Watertown High School held a Pep Assembly Friday morning to honor Flight Feather recipients, to recognize winter season athletes who competed at State, to celebrate attendance milestones and more.
WHS's Flight Feather program provides staff and students with the opportunity to recognize other staff and students for going out of their way to do the right thing or by completing an act of kindness for someone else. So far, 637 Flight Feathers have been submitted this school year for a drawing. Students whose names were drawn included Carson Lindeman, Karter Zimmerman, Nohra Good, Gillian Mihalko, Sophia Tolfa and Sophia Gonzales. Staff winners were Kelley Piasecki and Eric Kleine.
Another special recognition that occurred Friday was the send-off of the Special Olympics Basketball Team - Galaxy - featuring WHS student Alex Wuestenberg and other WHS alumni. The team played at the State games in Oshkosh this past weekend. Go Goslings!

The annual Watertown Children's Day Community Fair was held Saturday, April 12 at Watertown High School. Organized by the Watertown Unified School District, the Community Fair is designed to connect young families in Watertown to daycare and preschool providers and to organizations that offer youth sports, learning and recreational opportunities.

What a fun Friday for our students - the Watertown High School Show Choir performed at Riverside Middle School and several elementary schools today and they were fantastic! The community is invited to see the Show Choir perform this evening at WHS starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door - admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for students.
Please extend a huge congratulations to our FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) members as they competed and all medaled in various events at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference on Tuesday April 9. FCCLA members include Brielle Mueller, Kyler Chentis, Paige Walter, Macie Purtell, Bella Richter, Nadia Schmidt, Brynlee Simon, Tatum Groll, Ginny Sobol, Laura Peralta, Aryssa King, Ella Mock, and Leah Salva. Together they took home one bronze medal, eight silver medals, and four gold medals in events such as Culinary, Baking, Design, Knife Skills, and Education. Two of our members, Nadia Schmidt and Paige Walter, qualified for Nationals in Orlando, FL this summer. Way to go!

Students in Mr. Blair Thorpe's Financial Literacy class are in the process of learning about investing. Earlier this week, the students had the unique opportunity to learn first-hand knowledge of investing and local investing opportunities from Whitney Townsend, director of Business and Community Development at FCCU (Fort Community Credit Union). Thank you to Whitney for sharing her time and expertise with our students!
Our 4K students at Webster Elementary School were treated on Friday to a tailgate lunch and special visit from Louie B. Sluggin – the official mascot of the Lake Country DockHounds baseball team. Louie was escorted by WHS Class of 2019 graduate Tristan Kaufmann, who also represents the DockHounds organization. The students gave Louis lots of hugs and high fives. Thank you to Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Roth for coordinating this fun visit. ⚾🌭🐾

The Wisconsin Singers return to Watertown High School on Sunday, April 27 at 4 p.m. You won't want to miss this amazing show featuring FOUR WHS alumni singer/dancers - Owen Harris, Caleb Clark, Lily Garbelman, and Mikaylah Fessler, plus band member Tristan Maxwell. In addition, we are proud to welcome back Olivia Mattke, who is a member of the Singers' student business team.

🎈 Watertown Children's Day Fair 🎈
The annual Watertown Children's Day Fair will take place Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m.-Noon at Watertown High School. This is a free, fun-filled event for young children (ages birth-8) and their families.
Organized by the Watertown Unified School District, the Children's Day Fair provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn more about the school district, area preschool and daycare providers, and other local agencies that support young children and families. Children will have a blast enjoying activities and snacks throughout the morning.
