BoardDocs

WUSD is leveraging Cloud-based technology to radically improve the governance process while saving staff time and taxpayer dollars. BoardDocs allows the WUSD to maximize the effectiveness of board meetings with increased transparency, providing a basis for better and more open communication with the public, while dramatically improving productivity and saving thousands of dollars annually.

BoardDocs will allow interested parties to review information prior to meetings. After the meeting, individuals can review the agenda items and see what action the board took, complete with voting results. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by date or by using the system’s comprehensive Search feature.

Until further notice, most Board of Education meetings will be conducted in both a physical and virtual setting. To participate in any open meeting by phone or computer, please see the instructions on each individual meeting agenda. Please call (920)262-1460 Ext. 3202 for assistance.

Regular Board meetings of the Board of Education are held at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th Monday of each month, unless otherwise indicated. The location and time are listed on each specific agenda. Special Board meetings are called as needed.

Committee meetings are held as follows, unless otherwise indicated:

Educational Services Committee: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. in the Board Room of the ESC - 111 Dodge Street, Watertown

Fiscal Management Committee: Wednesday prior to the regularly monthly Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the ESC - 111 Dodge Street, Watertown

Human Resources Committee: Monday prior to the regularly monthly Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the ESC - 111 Dodge Street, Watertown

Planning Committee: 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the ESC (alternating months with Policy Review) - 111 Dodge Street, Watertown

Policy Review Committee: 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the ESC (alternating months with Planning) - 111 Dodge Street, Watertown

During the Neola adoption process, WUSD will continue to follow the current policy book.

To view Board policies, please click on the BoardDocs (current policies) link above. Click on "Policies" in the upper right bar and open the "+" to view individual policies under each series.

In August 2023, the Board passed a resolution to enter into an agreement with Neola for Bylaws and Policies Development, Administrative Guidelines Development and Digital Publishing Services.

Neola partners with school districts and provides comprehensive materials and personalized assistance to address the challenges faced in creating policy.

All of Neola's templates are viewed by Neola's in-state legal counsel to ensure that the content complies with current statutory provisions. Over 320 of the 400+ school districts in Wisconsin use Neola policies.

Currently, WUSD is in the process of adopting Neola policies. The policies are worked through in sections. Here is the Policy Section Approval Order (*= policy work completed):
