This is just a reminder that Mr. Ryan Ruggles, the second of three WUSD Superintendent finalists, will be available for a candidate forum tomorrow, Monday, June 6, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in-person in the WHS Media Center and via Zoom at https://isn.zoom.us/j/84893755631 or by phone at (312)626-6799 (Meeting ID is 848 9375 5631). This session will provide an opportunity for families, students, staff and community members to meet Mr. Ruggles and ask questions. The forum will be moderated by representatives from Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, an education consulting firm hired by the Board in April 2022 to assist with the Superintendent search. Following the forums, the Board will interview each finalist again. The Board hopes to select a candidate in mid-June, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2022. Mrs. Kowalski's #WatertownWay class is counting down the days to summer break by popping balloons! Last Thursday's fun activities included going to the park and coloring, playing with chalk and a participating in a scavenger hunt!

Our #WatertownWay staff would like to honor today all military personnel who lost their lives while serving our country.

Last week, our #WatertownWay Webster Art Club students visited the Milwaukee Art Museum - along with our art clubs from Douglas and Schurz Elementary Schools. Check out these cool tie-dyed and printed shirts that our Wildcats made for the trip!

Our WUSD Library Media programs are working jointly with the Watertown Public Library to share information about the Public Library's exciting summer programs. Memorial Day is a time to reflect upon those who served in our US Military. Today, our #WatertownWay REACH 18-21 Transition Program students spent the day learning about the history of Memorial Day. Students had the opportunity to walk around the Watertown Veterans Memorial Park honoring those men and women who served our country. While at the park, they discussed the different branches of the Military, the unforgettable wars, and special medals awarded for their service. The REACH students and staff would like to recognize and thank all those men and women who served in our US Military past and present - especially those who are from our Watertown Community.

A special thank you to #WatertownWay FFA Member and WHS Senior Luis Avila for coming to share all about agriculture and farming with our 4th grade Webster Wildcats! Our 4th graders are finishing up an informational writing unit on Wisconsin Industry, and they enjoyed hearing about the topic of farming from a real expert!

Who could forget the 2013 Lip Dub?! It was so much fun, our current #WatertownWay WHS students decided to do their own version! Filming took place this morning, so stay tuned for the full feature version coming your way! These Webster Wildcats were so thankful for their turn at their bike safety training! They couldn't wait to take what they learned to practice on the courses on the playground!

It's not to late to donate glasses to the Watertown Lions club. A donation box is located at all schools in WUSD. This year nearly 40 pairs of glasses were donated to Schurz Elementary School! Our #WatertownWay Webster Wildcats held their fifth grade track meet today! Lots of exercise and some fun with friends too!
