This is such great news – the fraternal financial services organization, Modern Woodmen, has recognized Watertown High School’s Jamie Koepp and Katie Pirkel as Hometown Heroes for their extraordinary efforts in serving WHS staff, students and the greater Watertown community.
Jamie Koepp
The award states: Jamie Koepp is a tireless cheerleader for students, staff, and the Watertown community. He excels in his role as an athletic director and administrator, while his past coaching experience won him induction into the WBCA Hall of Fame and recognition on the short list of Who’s Who in Wisconsin Athletics. In addition to his work at WHS, Jamie hosts a “Sports Talk” radio program, and has coached young athletes on several successful international Basketball Goodwill Games tours.
Katie Pirkel
The award states: Katie Pirkel is the heart and soul of Watertown High School. A Watertown resident and former WHS students, Katie now keeps students, staff, administration and the entire building organized, directed, and operating a peak efficiency. If you need something, Katie will get it; if something is lost, Katie will find it; if it is broken, Katie will fix it. If it’s not those things, then go to the “Faculty Dashboard” resources page she made for the school! Truly there is no one better. Among Goslings, she is the lead goose of the gaggle.
We are so fortunate to have Jamie and Katie as part of the Watertown High School team!
