Mirror mirror on the wall, there’s a leader in us all! Congrats to all these Schurz Tigers for being leaders this week!

Thank you to Brenda Gatzke and the Giving Ladies of Watertown for their monetary and food donations to the Schurz Tiger Den!! We are so appreciative of your generosity! Pictured left to right: Lauren Eisenberg (social worker), Kayla Wendy (principal), and Brenda Gatzke (GLOW).

Schurz staff had fun on Wednesday by surprising students as they wore their favorite costumes at school!

Mrs. Bethke and Mrs. Ebert's kindergartners had a beautiful day for their Alphabet parade Wednesday afternoon!

Mrs. Wolf's class celebrated "White Cane Day.” Students in her class listened to the book called “White Cane Day" and had a lively conversation about the achievements of people who are blind and/or visually impaired.
Students enjoyed making white cane day pencils and a chocolate covered pretzel that looked like a white cane. The highlight was wearing low vision simulators when doing the activities and looking at braille books. Each student received their name in Braille, too!
