Good morning Riverside families, We hope this message finds you and your family doing well and having an excellent start to 2023. As we finish our 1st semester at Riverside, we wanted to remind you about our Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences. The goals of conference days are to communicate about academic progress and to continue to build our partnership around supporting your student. Spring Conferences will take place on Thursday, February 16th, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Conferences will look like they did in the Fall, in a face to face format and will be held in individual teacher classrooms. We anticipate individual conferences lasting for 10-15 minutes to ensure we have enough availability for everyone to meet with each of their student’s teachers. If you think you will need more time for these conversations, we would ask that you schedule a time outside of conferences to have a more in-depth discussion. To see your student’s schedule, please log into Skyward and click on the Schedule tab. We will be in the 2nd Semester/2nd Trimester (term), so all classes listed as 2nd term or trimester classes would be current classes. Since navigating the schedule portion of Skyward can be confusing, please reach out if you need help interpreting the schedule. As always, we encourage students to attend conferences with their parents/guardians. If you would like to meet with one of our Student Services staff, please call 920-262-1494 to schedule an appointment. Tammy Foerster - Social Worker Danielle Colden - Social Worker Jesse Leonhardt - School Counselor (Last names A-L) Lora Konz - School Counselor (Last names M-Z) Rebecca Roost - School Psychologist As always, thank you for your continued partnership with Riverside. We appreciate your support and look forward to discussing your student’s academic progress next month. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to the RMS administrative team. We are happy to help. Jason Widiker - Principal Mike Cunningham - Associate Principal

On January 10, AVID hosted our second AVID Family Night. We were really excited to share with our AVID families academic updates about STAR and GPA performance as well as academic updates for what was happening in our AVID elective class. We also had Mrs. Lora Konz in attendance to help our AVID families start thinking about high school registration and what course would be most valuable for them to take for their intended future pathway. Interested in AVID? Sound intriguing? In the coming weeks, we will be meeting with our 7th graders in order to recruit for our 8th grade AVID elective next year. Stay tuned for an important AVID Information Night as well as our AVID application that will be released in early February. Contact Leigh Ann Graf, our AVID Site Coordinator, (GrafL@mywusd.org) with any questions.
