Watertown High School is very excited to announce that the 2024 A.E. “Mike” Bentzin Memorial Watertown High School Assemblies Program is Donald Driver. Donald is a Green Bay Packers’ All-Time Leading Receiver, Super Bowl Champion and Dancing with the Stars Champion. He is also an author of a chart-topping book called The 3D Body Revolution.
Come to the WHS Auditorium on Thursday, February 29th, as Donald shares his story and how he has continued to show his desire to give back. The program begins at 5:45 p.m. WHS doors open at 5:00 p.m. with limited seating available in the auditorium. Overflow seating will be held in the Commons with the program being livestreamed. If time permits, there will be a photo-op following the presentation.

Yo-Yo Record- Holding & World Champion, Mark Hayward, visited Lincoln STEM this past Thursday evening to share how being persistent helped him become what he is today and to show off some of his tricks. Each child in attendance received a book, a snack and a 3-D Printed yo-yo project.

Grades 2/3 Classes at Lincoln STEM had members of the Dodge-Jefferson Beekeepers Association share a presentation and conduct a simulation of honeybees in a hive as an extension of their Life Cycles & Survival Project Lead the Way module.
Grades 4 and 5 at Lincoln Stem played Treble Clef Twister in Music class. Students drew their own staff and treble clef. Music Teacher Michelle Beine called out hand/foot and left/right to put on the correct line or space.
Mathematicians at work from 4/5 Lincoln STEM! Students are enjoying our new program Number Corner and are learning how to effectively communicate their reasoning during Math.

WUSD celebrated our 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient Rear Admiral Michael Schwerin during homecoming. Rear Admiral Schwerin was a 1984 graduate of Watertown High School. He was treated to a special luncheon on September 29th where he was presented with a Distinguished Alumni plaque. Rear Admiral Schwerin was also introduced during the Homecoming Pep Rally; was a special guest in the homecoming parade; and was introduced after first quarter of the homecoming football game.

Lincoln STEM students participate in morning meetings to start each day. Morning meetings help build a strong sense of community in each classroom. These Grade 2/3 students are learning the importance of teamwork and communication in these morning meeting activities.
