Elementary schools across the Watertown Unified School District participated in elections of their own on Tuesday by casting votes to determine favorite cookie flavor and even to elect a school president, which was the case at Lebanon LEAP Elementary School. It was a close race at LEAP between resident hen, Henny Penny, and resident snake, Jack Tater. Jack Tater was the top-vote getter in the end. 🐍

It was an exciting day yesterday at Riverside Middle School as teachers and staff welcomed students in grades 6-8 to the start of the 2024-25 school year! To help students become more familiar with staff and to better understand school expectations, each grade attended a welcome assembly in the school gymnasium. Enjoy these images of our sixth-graders attending their assembly, as well as their first official lunchtime as middle schoolers in the cafeteria.

LEAP (Lebanon) Elementary School staff, students and their parents are seeking to bring learning outside in a new way by raising funds to build an outdoor classroom. Their goal is to raise $12,000 to purchase a grain bin gazebo kit and furnishings to house this new outdoor learning space. To help raise funds and to share news about their project, LEAP students and their families sold home-grown produce yesterday at the Bentzin Family Town Square.
