35 years ago, on February 2, gas was $0.96 per gallon, a pound of bacon was $1.90, "Need You Tonight" by INXS was the #1 song and "Three Men and a Baby" was in the movie theaters. Most importantly though, Donna Parys began working at Lebanon (now LEAP) Elementary School. For 35 years she has gone above and beyond her role as a paraprofessional, supporting students and staff in various ways. On February 2, we celebrated Donna's dedication and commitment to education in the community - 1980s style! So many #WatertownWay students and staff members have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Parys, and we hope there will be many more!
