Watertown High School is very excited to announce that the 2024 A.E. “Mike” Bentzin Memorial Watertown High School Assemblies Program is Donald Driver. Donald is a Green Bay Packers’ All-Time Leading Receiver, Super Bowl Champion and Dancing with the Stars Champion. He is also an author of a chart-topping book called The 3D Body Revolution.
Come to the WHS Auditorium on Thursday, February 29th, as Donald shares his story and how he has continued to show his desire to give back. The program begins at 5:45 p.m. WHS doors open at 5:00 p.m. with limited seating available in the auditorium. Overflow seating will be held in the Commons with the program being livestreamed. If time permits, there will be a photo-op following the presentation.

Monday, January 8th was the first day of rotations for Mr. Gibson’s Health Observations class. 4 of the 5 days during the week, students get the opportunity to shadow medical professionals at the hospital and other local private practices.

Shout out to Dylan Morgan and Megan Doherty who took 1st and 2nd respectively in their events at DECA Districts this past weekend. This means that Dylan and Megan automatically qualify for a trip to STATE DECA in February at the Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Other students medaling this past weekend included Sophia Doornek and Ella Mock. Congratulations to all participants as they studied, prepared, and accomplished new goals. You did an amazing job in representing WHS. It was a GREAT DAY TO BE A GOSLING!!!
Congratulations to Abigail Bartz, Angela Tietz and Emma Westenburg for being selected as the WHS Rotary Students for the month of January! WHS senior students are recognized for their academic achievements, participation in athletics, school organizations, and the contribution to the Watertown Community. Students will join the Watertown Rotary Club each Monday at their weekly meetings and luncheons.
Abigail Bartz is the daughter of Josh and Mindy Bartz. Abigail has been active in the following WHS activities: National Honor Society, where she is the lead coordinator for the student tutoring program, Track and Field, Girls Tennis, INTERACT, and Academic Decathlon. Outside of WHS, Abigail is involved in Girls Bowling, Whitetails Unlimited, Feeding America, and Christ United Methodist Church. Abigail is currently working at the Pine Cone Restaurant and plans on attending UW-Platteville to study Biochemistry or Environmental Engineering.
Emma Wuestenberg is the daughter of Chad and Kristen Wuestenberg. Emma has been involved in the following at WHS: National Honor Society, HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Athletic Leadership. Emma currently is waitressing at Rockwell’s Restaurant. Emma plans on attending a college in Wisconsin to major in Nursing.
Angela Tietz is the daughter of Randy and Tammy Tietz. Angela has been active in National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, German Honor Society, and FFA while at WHS. Angela is also involved in the WHS Music Department participating in Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Carolers, Show Choir and WHS Musicals. When not at school, Angela is involved in the Lebanon Band and Lebanon Luckies 4-H Club. She currently works at the Tietz Family Farms and is planning on attending a four year university to pursue music education.
Watertown High School will host Freshman Preview Night on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 for incoming 9th grade students (current 8th grade students)! This is a fantastic opportunity for incoming 9th grade students and families to prepare for their transition to Watertown High School for the 2024-25 school year by learning more about course offerings, the course registration process, and academic as well as extracurricular opportunities available at WHS.
