Here's a second SHOUT OUT to show our appreciation for our School Lunch Heroes:
Our #WatertownWay Nutrition Services team has worked tirelessly to provide emergency meals to students since the pandemic closed schools in March of 2020. The extension of free meals for all students for the past two years, coupled with severe supply chain disruptions, has created many unique challenges requiring nutrition programs to be creative in the areas of staffing and meal production. A HUGE THANK YOU to our Nutrition Services staff for the effort and care that you pour into your work daily for our students!

May 6, 2022 is School Lunch Hero Day! Thank you to our amazing #WatertownWay Nutrition Services Team! We appreciate you!

Here's a SHOUT OUT to Ms. Steuerwald for helping our #WatertownWay Douglas Tigers to grow - and glow - in Physical Education class!

This past week, eCampus Educators Alexis Hail and Jenna Retzlaff met a Ukrainian mom to discuss her daughters' enrollment into WUSD's eCampus virtual school. Olga Lytvynova shared her story from her family's current home in Poland and is eager to get her 2nd and 5th grader back to school! Our #WatertownWay eCampus Academy staff has partnered with US University Pathways in recent months to enroll international students into eCampus to earn a WUSD diploma and a pathway to a Wisconsin college. Connecting with Olga and her family is an outgrowth of this effort and one that WUSD is pleased and honored to be able to support!

Don't forget to stop at the 29th Annual Children's Day Fair event tomorrow, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Watertown High School from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will be many fun activities for children 8 years of age and younger, and families are able to connect with local organizations and community resources! This is a free event for all attendees. We hope to see you there!

Our #WatertownWay Douglas Tigers all helped to complete the Mystery Poster in the Library Media Center. Since the start of the school year, students that returned their library materials were given stickers to add to the poster. They were also given extra stickers when showing responsible, respectful and safe behaviors in the Media Center. Great job!

Energy, motion, balloon rockets, competition - sounds like an awesome #WatertownWay fifth grade science lab at Douglas! Check out these scientists designing and adjusting their rockets to fly down the track!

It's National Volunteer Recognition Week and the WUSD wants to give a 📣 SHOUT OUT to our incredible #WatertownWay volunteers who selflessly support our students and staff! We appreciate you!
