Get your name out there.
If a coach doesn't know who you are or that you are interested, it's up to you to make that first step. There are online tools such as berecruited.com and many more that can help you find a school who needs you and helps schools find athletes who need them.

Call a coach. Call a coach of a school that offers something you are interested in studying. Ask them what they are looking for.

Keep up your grades.
Without good grades, a coach may feel being able to handle the pressure of maintaining good health, taking on sports and staying eligible with good grades may not be in you.

Visit a camp.
If you can, visit a soccer camp at a college you may want to attend. Let the coach know you will be there. There are many camps run by college coaches that have more than a few coaches from different schools there coaching.
