National German Exam

A record number of Watertown High School students participated this year in the National German Exam, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German. Of the 19 students who took the reading and listening exam, 12 earned national recognition!

🌟 Achievement Awards for above average performance (between 60th-69th percentile) on the level 2 exam went to: Braden Cronce and Elisabeth Huhn.
🌟 Ian Griffin, Kenny Pettitt, Sara Rodriguez and Ze Zietlow earned Achievement Awards on the Level 3 exam.
🌟 Several students earned Bronze Awards (70th-79th percentile) on the level 2 exam: Stellah Freitag, Braeden Nemitz, Hailey Zabel and Lauren Zoellick.
🌟 Two students earned Gold Award recognition for scoring in the 90th-95th percentile, making them eligible to compete for a three-week all expenses paid study abroad scholarship: Theo Heier on the level 2 exam and Jack Zoellick on the level 3 exam.

Students earning medals are recognized on the AATG website (https://www.aatg.org/nge-results-and-honor-roll ) and will receive medals at the state awards ceremony in May.
