Mrs. Lessner graduated from Luther College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education - with endorsements in Reading and Music. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education - Professional Development from UW - La Crosse in 2006 and completed coursework for her principal licensure through UW-Milwaukee's Administrative Leadership program in 2014.

Mrs. Lessner spent the first nine years of her career teaching fourth and fifth grade students in Watertown - primarily at Douglas Elementary School.  While teaching, she served on various WUSD teams and committees and was also a team leader at Douglas. Mrs. Lessner is proud to have been a teacher in the community and is honored to be working with Watertown families and the Douglas staff in an administrative role.

When not busy leading Douglas Elementary, Mrs. Lessner enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband are both Watertown High School graduates and both of their children attend schools in the WUSD.  She is an avid reader, home cook, and is her children's biggest sports fan!  Mrs. Lessner is passionate about education, and is committed to learning and collaborating with the Douglas staff to provide a safe, productive, and positive learning environment for all Douglas Tigers.
